The country we hunt is beautiful, very hunt able, with many different species of game. Our stone sheep hunts are classic, extreme mountain adventures. They can be comfortable or demanding, depending on the hunter’s preference. Mountain hunts and alpine hunts can be more or less demanding as desired. Stone Sheep in BC
Found primarily in Northern British Columbia, Stone Sheep are a high mountain extreme terrain hunting opportunity. As you drive in from the airport watch for them licking minerals along the side of the Alaska Highway.
Color variations have a wide range, from slate grey-brown with a white rump patch, or dark tail and white on the inside of the hind legs, to an almost completely white/grey-white coat with a dark or black dorsal surface on the tail. Horns are curved in form and vary in color from a yellowish-brown to dark brown horns.
Stone sheep are a dark brown northern mountain sheep. Primarly you find Stone sheep sparsely distributed in the southern Yukon and northern British Columbia and Alberta.
